This novel is not even choc lit and I am not even sure what choc lit means, because it is so well written, so emotional and at the same time witty, full of plot surprises, well wrought characters, relationships dynamics and all in all such a wise love story between two hurting souls. The writing is very good and I truly recommend this novel for anyone who looks to feel something when reading a book.Product details

I absolutely loved this writing! Thorough and well developed characters. I always love the struggle of romance especially with angst!

This book is very good. I love the plot twist at the end. I saw it coming but it was so so worth it. I will read everything she writes!
This book fantastic, I kept reading and could not put it down. So did not guess the twists. HEA and no cliff hanger. Write more please.
This book will blow you away! There was so much that was unexpected, but in a good way. The characters are not what you expect. Each and everyone of them has more to them than what they show. It's funny because usually one of the characters will have a deep dark secret from their past. Here the past plays an integral role in shaping who our characters are, and how they behave and react to situations.
This is Jane Lovering's debut book with Choc Lit. I will definitely be looking forward to her next books. This book was an insightful love story between two broken people. It was a fast read and I could not stop until I had finished it. For a love story with depth, pick this one up!
I fell in love with these characters, beautifully gritty and real. Frustrating at times, but enjoyed the book both times I read it. Undoubtedly my favourite romance novel of all time.

This book has far too few reviews. It has it all. . .flawed hero and heroine, ambivalence, fighting love no matter how obvious it is to the rest of the world, chivalrous hero. So, what is it folks? Is it because the author is English? All that means is that this book is better edited, has wittier, more realistic dialogue, and adult characters who behave in the ways you or I probably would in their circumstances. This read is a breeze, exactly what summer calls for. There's enough drama and angst to keep you engaged. You pick it up in the morning and by the time you are packing up your beach things, you have finished a great read and a great day.
